The white Waratah was discovered in the 1960's and it's coveted location was kept a secret until it had been shared and established. It is now a great favourite of gardeners and florists. The red Waratah can be spotted a long way off in the bush. Today I was at the market and saw a pink variety as well. The Waratah is the NSW state emblem.
