An important plant for nectar feeding honey eaters and insects. Also noted for being one of the first plants to return after fire - flowering again in the 2nd year.  From Kangaroo Island to Mt Lofty ranges and across the border to southern VIC, Tasmania and NSW you will see it bordering roadsides or on walks in the hills.  At risk in Tasmania and becoming more rare in all states.
